YDC is a results-oriented program with each student's annual improvement tracked and verified through assessment testing at the beginning and end of the school year. During the 2011-2012 school year, 94 percent of the students in grades 1 and 2 showed improvement in reading skills with 80 percent of the students showing 1 or more levels of improvement. Our students in grades 3 - 6 showed an average of 1.5 grade levels of improvement in reading skills and 1 grade level of improvement in math skills.
